Overview
ElephantDrive is an innovative technology company in the cloud backup and storage space. We are venture capital funded and looking to grow our business dramatically over the next 1-2 years. We have one of the most dynamic and feature-rich products in the cloud space, and are looking for a UI specialist to transform the flow, look, and feel of our desktop client and web interface.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with product development team to re-define existing functionality and institute design standards to optimize ease of use and consistency across features and applications
Create initial concepts, storyboards, mock-ups, and prototypes for new desktop and web-based applications
Work with engineering teams to develop, integrate, and deploy new user interface designs for existing desktop application and web-based applications
Create new user interface designs for new features and functionality
Experience
Experience designing for Java-based and C# .NET-based desktop applications
Experience designing interactive web sites and applications with dynamic content elements and multiple functions
3 years of experience in web design / development, with specific expertise with web-based applications
Fluency with web standards and technologies, including: CSS, HTML, JavaScript, JSP, XUL, XAML
Knowledge of usability and coding practices for accessibility
Strong web graphics production capability and practioner experience with Flash, Visio and other mockup tools
Experience with methodologies such as Agile
Creative approach to problem solving, innovation and issue resolution
Superior interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate actively and proactively with others in a cross-functional team
Ability to communicate effectively in writing, verbally and as a presenter
Self-motivated and self-managed with a high degree of analytical ability and intellectual curiosity
Strong attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering highly-polished web-based prototypes under tight time constraints
Compensation
Mix of cash and equity, preferably to start as 1099 consultant and transfer to full time job.
