The VP Product is a highly skilled product management executive with experience in both startups and mature technology organizations. This individual is a strategic, hands-on leader with responsibility for leading product strategy, business planning, management & marketing initiatives from concept through to market launch. He/she has a proven track record of building products in consumer web, mobile, and/or e-commerce/promotions with world-class user experience and customer engagement. This role reports directly to the CEO.
The individual has a demonstrated ability to design and deploy web and mobile products, and interface with users and customers to assess product features, functions, and requirements to build a comprehensive product roadmap. He/she has strong communication skills to work with Engineering, Operations, and Sales to coordinate product integration and successful product rollouts. This individual will also be responsible for all aspects of marketing, including user acquisition, PR, and customer service.

Work with the engineering team to develop and launch industry-leading Healthy Deals, healthy meal/fitness tools, and other revenue generating products on both web and mobile.
Provide leadership on product vision and roadmaps, including writing requirements and gathering insights from both users and partners.
Analyze traffic and conversion metrics across platforms. Develop and implement strategies to increase visitor traffic/engagement on Zipongo’s website and customers’ websites, including SEO/SEM, social media/viral initiatives, PR campaigns, etc.
Lead strategic negotiations with potential product development and marketing partners.
Product marketing leadership, including competitive market analysis and development of marketing materials.
Develop and implement online and offline marketing programs – viral/social networking initiatives, partner promotion/advertising campaigns, local PR campaigns, cooperative advertising, promotions/contests etc.
Lead awareness/buzz building, branding, and analyst/media relations for Zipongo and its products via an integrated PR and social media strategy.
Profit and Loss (P&L) responsibility, including pricing strategies for SaaS products, business planning and budgeting, and cost management.
Team leadership and management of product, marketing, and customer service teams.
An innovative, aggressive, and results-driven senior product executive with 10+ years of web and/or mobile product experience, and 5+ years of running the product organization for a successful web/mobile company.
Prior experience in consumer web/mobile applications and software as a service.
Experience working with nutrition and/or health data and personalization analytics a plus.
Highly analytical and metrics-driven approach to planning, managing, and executing product and marketing initiatives.
Excellent communicator capable of building relationships and communicating effectively with every level of the organization, as well as external customers and partners, through outstanding verbal, written, and presentation skills.
BA/BS in computer science, marketing or business management.
Masters in computer science, human-computer interaction/user experience, or MBA a plus.
