VP Sales and Business Development

Overview
Oberon3 has developed OPINIATOR, a customer feedback technology, delivered as software as a service (SaaS) that provides service businesses with live feedback via voice, text and web from customers using their own mobile phone. Unlike comment cards, web or email surveys, OPINIATOR’S integrated analysis and alerts enable the business to take immediate action to prevent customer defection. We have customers, revenue, cash flow positive, and now a lot of opportunity - hence we need a VP Sales and BD to help us GROW.

Opportunity:
This is a co-founder role and key hire for us. The company has a robust feedback platform that will be leveraged to provide a unique customer retention technology. The successful candidate will develop a repeatable, predictable sales process, and build a strong sales team to accelerate growth and achieve aggressive targets. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with a strong entrepreneurial spirit and wants a key role in a fun place that is making a difference.
Responsibilities
Hands-on sales leadership including closing key deals
Develop a repeatable and predictable sales methodology and process.
Serve as leader in developing new business and strategic partnerships including reseller and license channels
Manage existing reseller team
Develop sales team personnel and a sales resource strategy
Foster, promote and facilitate cross-selling of company-wide products, services and capabilities.
Collaborate with colleagues (executive, leadership and peers) to develop new products and services.
Contribute to the strategic planning and execution of all sales, marketing and public relations activities.
Experience
Proven experience managing sales people to achieve and exceed performance goals.
Strong track record in growing revenue and over achievement of quota expectations at early stage companies in all channels
Strong achiever working with and maximizing resellers
Experience developing and building sales processes is a plus.
Experience at SaaS companies (esp. selling to marketing) is a plus.
Must have a proven P&L management experience as a CEO or senior sales executive of at company in the field
Skills
Outstanding communication, coaching, team player, and collaborative leadership skills.
Strong negotiation skills.
Outstanding closer
Keen interpersonal and customer relations skills.
Education
BA/BS Degree Required, MBA a plus
Compensation
Initially a commission PLUS equity-based position.
We are actively seeking funding now hence this compensation will change upon a funding event.
