Overview
Smarterer is building a platform to test and score people on digital, social and technical skills. Our mission is to give people an easy, fun, and authentic way to show the world what they know. We need a brilliant VP of Product to join us in making this big, unique vision a reality.
Responsibilities
You’ll work with our incredibly talented technical and user experience team to create a product that delivers a profound experience to users – one in which they have fun, feel competitive, and learn – and want to tell the world about it. The product incorporates elements of gaming, competitive entertainment, education, and reputation collateral, so consumer web experience is a must. You will be a key member of the senior management team.

Experience
You must have these capabilities:
Leadership: You’ll need to provide structure to the design and development process and lead the team to execute. You have to understand the strategy, build consensus, prioritize features, and manage iterations.
Management: You will own the product roadmap and manage delivery against it, by gathering product requirements, creating product definitions, planning our sprints, and managing iterations.
Technical: You should have a strong technical background and experience successfully managing engineering teams. Software development experience is a plus.
Experience: You have 10+ years of experience running product in large, scaled consumer web companies, with a track record of success. Experience in social gaming is a plus.
Design: You must have a deep appreciation for the importance of visual design and user experience.
User-friendly: We’re building a product to deliver a powerful impact to users. You have to crave user feedback and use it carefully.
