A new Social Network Aggregator company is looking for a VP of Marketing and Sales to drive our online and offline marketing, the entire range of marketing initiatives including strategy, branding, messaging, analyst relationships, PR, SEO, SEM, sales promotion and sales activities, trade events, advertising and public relations. In this role, you will act as the strategic marketing and sales leader for the company working directly with the CEO.

Working with our CEO and CTO to build bleeding edge website components
You will be the business leader and drive traffic and users to their site
Responsible for the user experience, page views, traffic levels and work to increase all of these metrics
Lead all aspects of corporate communications, public, press and industry analyst relations, website and online marketing, branding, tradeshow participation, high profile speaking engagements including managing external providers
Evaluate and recommend the optimal marketing investment and resource levels with an understanding of the return on investment across all initiatives
Sponsor, resource and lead development and roll-out of key strategic initiatives, typically 4-6 at any one time, while leading detailed planning, resource allocation and process improvements to maximize team productivity
Refine and articulate the company's strategic positioning to internal and external audiences including analysts, press, customers and others
Own customer and external facing collateral and create a consistent brand and voice
Provide connectivity between business units / product marketing to ensure consistency and effectiveness
Google Experience is a plus
Strong background in: SEO, SEM, Vice President of Sales, Business Development, User Experience position, Marketing (international experience preferred), Web Marketing, Product Manager, Product Development, Search Engine Optimization, Search Engine Marketing
Strong skills in launching new websites as well as continually updating new features within websites
Ability to drive traffic using your Public Relations and Marketing knowledge
Strong grasp of user interface knowledge and ability to drive performance
Significant experience in technology business marketing in a successful start-up or high growth division of a larger technology company
Solid marketing and management experience, Superior business sense, problem solving, project management and analytical skills
Any experience with high-level Social Networks is a big plus!
MBA preferred but not required.
