Overview
The Senior Test Analyst will have primary responsibility for ensuring the completion of testing tasks for projects. Working in an agile/Scrum development methodology, the Senior Test Analyst will review user and functional requirements and provide feedback; they will ad hoc test early versions of functionality and develop increasingly complete manual test scripts and traceability; they will review scripts created by others, participate in test execution and monitor the progress of tests executed by others. In this role the Senior Test Analyst will proactively engage with all team members including developers, business users and business analysts. Teams may be local or distributed across multiple locations

Able to manage test activities (resource/cost/schedule/metrics) medium to large projects.
Able to provide direct input to project estimates and documentation (Project Plan document, FRS, Design docs)
Contributes to definition and refinement of testing processes and procedures and applies analytical skills to determine testing strategies.
Directs the work of test analysts and testers.
Reviews project requirements, plans and prototypes and providing input.
Creates test plans and trace matrices to requirements and test scripts.
Writes, reviews and executes formal test scripts including setup and data requirements, procedures and expected results.
Ability to use agile planning and effort methods to estimate tasks and create schedules.
Travel (Less than 5%) domestic and/or international
Leads teams of up to three analysts.
Acts as Senior Test Analyst for medium to large projects, or concurrent small projects.
Mentors team members on testing related skills.
Experience
Minimum of 5 years of Pharma industry experience, with a minimum of 2 years as a Senior Test Analyst
Has worked on projects through the full development life cycle with some exposure to agile practices such as Scrum/XP.
Trackwise experience highly preferred
Experience in administration and use of test and defect management and automation applications.
Ability to accurately estimate tasks and create schedules.
Has effective skills in dealing with peer and/or subordinate interpersonal issues
Has excellent written and oral communication skills as well as facilitation skills
Experience with query, configuration management and defect tracking tools.
Understanding of technology and development language concepts.
Due to the nature of this position it may be required for the employee to travel. Therefore, dependent on the employee’s location, the employee may be required to possess a valid driver’s license.

Education
• Bachelor’s degree, or local equivalent, in life sciences, business, technology, information technology or related discipline.
