Vertical Sales Manager

Responsibilities
Implement defined sales process within territory
Identify and pursue new business opportunities
Manage prospects through the sales process
Develop an integrated strategy for successfully achieving New Business quota
Articulate Sponge’s value proposition to the Industry as well as competitive positioning
Document all sales activity in Netsuite
Pursue leads generated by Marketing – identify, quantify and pursue new business in territory.
Provide accurate forecasting and ensure pipelines meet requirements
Work with Marketing and Product Management as required to provide customer feedback and requirements
Meet/exceed new account quotas in assigned territory
Provide sales service that supports the prospects’ buying process
Communicate weekly activities and pipelines to Sales Manager
Experience
2-3 years of prior revenue generating sales experience, SaaS highly desired
Experience selling to asset management companies highly desired
Proven track record at achieving measurable sales objectives
Sales, product, and/or time/territory management training is desirable
Skills
Excel at developing relationships over the phone
Ability to handle high outbound call volume with corresponding high talk time
Must be articulate, organized, detail-oriented, and possess the ability to multi-task in a dynamic, fast-changing entrepreneurial environment
Extremely strong oral and written skills
Must be able to integrate knowledge across disciplines to include cold calling, consultative selling, product demonstrations, closing contracts, operation/process flow, and product function
Strong sense of initiative and personal leadership demonstrating the ability to function independently, but must also be able to contribute to team initiatives
Demonstrable ability to work in a “start-up” environment
Experience using sales automation products such as Netsuite and web collaboration tools like WebEx
Education
Bachelor’s degree with strong academic credentials
Compensation
Base salary plus commission.
