Vice President, Enterprise Sales

at Ascendify in San Francisco, CA   —   Jul 14, 2014   |  
We’re looking for a total sales pro, a hunter, who thrives in a fast-paced, business-building environment. He/she must be a self-starter with proven success in closing big business with senior-level executives at enterprise corporations, preferably selling solutions into HR at companies with over 2,000 employees.

This is highly strategic position that will lead overall growth strategy and execution at Ascendify. You’ll be a key member of the executive team, reporting to the CEO. This role carries a very high-upside and founder-level equity in the business, and for the right person will be incredibly lucrative. You’ll build the sales function from the ground-up: creating opportunities in a start-up environment, conducting sales presentations, negotiating and closing six-figure deals with enterprise accounts and building out the sales team as we grow.
Develop and grow the business, covering all markets and all territories
Work with VP Marketing and CEO to drive growth strategies (leadgen, events, sales campaigns, awareness)
Develop and maintain relationships at key accounts
Identify and implement sales strategies to close business
Build strategic relationships and represent the company at industry events
Identify customer challenges and align our solutions to meet their needs
Influence the product road map, prioritizing customer-driven innovation
Plan and then meet or exceed quarterly sales targets
Scale and grow the business in every way: people, process and tools
Present at quarterly board meeting and investor meetings
Must be a hunter. Must be hungry.
5-10+ years selling SaaS or cloud-based enterprise software
Previous six-figure sales experience closing business at Fortune 500 companies
Knows industry and landscape: Jobvite, Taleo, Kenexa, IBM, Oracle, LinkedIn
Proven record of exceptional performance, high productivity and growth
Solid technical understanding of social platforms and cloud-based solutions
Salesforce, Zoho, or other CRM experience
Established base of HR contacts/referrals at named accounts
