Leading early stage software and service Company in NYC.
The position will report to the CEO and will manage all finances for the company. Candidate should have 10+ years of experience in finance and accounting.
The VP Finance is responsible for directing the day-to-day financial affairs of the Company, including general accounting, bank reconciliations and cash accounts, financial analyses of operations, the preparation of interim and final financial statements, the compliance with regulatory and corporate reporting requirements.
Required Skills
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Overall ownership of the financial planning and analysis process for the business: Owning the monthly Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet and Cash flow statements, preparation of the annual budget, monthly reforecast and monthly closing reporting package.
Coordinate and review the impacts of budget and financial forecasts against the annual plan, raise issues and make change recommendations as appropriate.
Responsible for maintaining effective financial controls and risk management for the entire operation. This includes maintaining a tight system of policies and procedures (including the Account Payable, T&E, Payroll, and GL system), bank statement reconciliations and audit controls.
Responsible for all aspects of the cash management functions including: Accounts Payable, payroll and Accounts Receivable.
Responsible for tax planning and compliance with all federal, state, and local corporate, payrolls, and other applicable taxes and state/city filings
Ensure communication of company’s performance is clear, concise and appropriate for the respective audience
Set up and manage benefit plans.
Ability to read, interpret and implement complex royalty agreements.
Required Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
CPA certification preferred.
10+ years of financial management experience, preferably in Software, Internet,VAR managed services.
Prior experience in a start up is a plus.
Strong financial modeling skills is a must.
Strong forecasting and analytical skills.
