This is a special pre-launch Chicago-based startup and we’re looking for an equally special Vice President of Marketing. Our angel round of financing is complete, and we are preparing for our national launch this Fall.
We’ve completed consumer focus groups and they love our concept. Now, its time to signup paying customers. The best part: this is an existing $330 billion/year industry -- we don’t need to create the market.
Ours is a consumer healthcare services business, which will dramatically improve the lives of tens of millions of Americans. Specifically, our customers suffer from the same physical condition – one that they’ve told us they will pay dearly to resolve. We have the solution.
As Vice President of Marketing, you will lead the programs to acquire and retain our customers. We’re looking for a battle-tested “Army of One” who brings a full arsenal.
This is a hands-on role. In the early days, you will single-handedly develop and implement these programs. Once we achieve profitability, you’ll expand and lead the marketing team.
You’ve worked at a startup company before and loved it (we don’t care if it succeeded or failed)
Ability and desire to be hands-on & scrappy. Initially, you will have NO staff and little budget
Experience with both online and offline acquisition
Experience building a differentiated brand with loyal followers
Experience creating and negotiating cost-per-acquisition deals with partners
Rare combination of brilliant marketing strategy and action-oriented implementation
Experience using social media to spread the word cost-effectively
Remarkable communication skills (hint: generic cover letters wind up in our “recycle bin”)
A “test and Iterate” mindset
