NOTE: For this position, visual design is just as important as information architecture. We're looking for someone who can help us structure interfaces AND make them pretty. Pleas send us a link to your portfolio along with your resume to be considered.
Quovo is looking for a top-notch interaction and visual designer to co-lead the conception, design, and implementation of a look and feel + user experience that revolutionizes how people interact with financial data.
We’re a well-funded financial technology start-up based in New York City (www.quovo.com) and a small, fun team dedicated to revolutionizing the investment management industry. We strongly believe that good information and game-changing insights should be more accessible, affordable, and understandable to all investors, not just the ultra-elite. We're looking for like-minded people to help us on our mission - folks who think big, work hard, and want to change the world (while still cracking a smile). Join us!
Work with senior leadership to improve, innovate, and implement overall look and feel of Quovo applications - from buttons and arrows to color palettes and designing interactive charts, on a variety of devices (web, mobile, tablets, etc.)
Work closely with senior developers and strategists to translate use cases, customer personas, and business priorities (such as new features or product spin-offs) into specific UX/UI and visual design solutions
Create and update style guides to support our brand; serve as design lead on “offline” projects, such as marketing collateral, infographics
Translate and push forward new concepts from ideas to wireframes, visualizations, and .PSD mockups — at the global, page, and specific feature level
Inject customer delight into information architecture through visual and graphic design
Lead ongoing customer and usability research to iterate and improve the product over time
Top-notch Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe Suite skills
Experience designing for front end of web products, i.e., generating clean, usable designs that can be easily translated into front-end code
Experience with designing interactive data visualization a major plus -- our product is data and chart-heavy, and data design will be an important part of our work
Proven success at translating sophisticated use cases into elegant, intuitive, and pleasing solutions
Experience with or interest in the financial industry a plus
A self-starter with a strong sense of collaboration
A strong conceptual thinker who is a fast learner and detail-oriented
Position comes with competitive salary, full health benefits, and equity.
