Responsibilities
As soon as you hit the ground at Bright, we will be relying on your expertise to. . .
Redefine the job search experience. Develop ways to help millions of job seekers leverage their social graph data to get their foot in the door companies that are hiring
Help employers focus on hiring quality candidates by optimizing search algorithms to present them with the most relevant job seekers
Partner with our product and design teams to optimize user experience
Integrate features using various third-party APIs
Develop custom integrations for employers' recruiting platforms
Experience
The ideal person we are looking for has plenty of experience developing web applications using PHP5 and MySQL (big plus for candidates with high-load database experience). They should also have solid knowledge of client-server relationships using Ajax , JavaScript , and XML . Lastly -- they shouldn't be scared to get their hands dirty using a Unix/Linux command line.
Skills
Additionally desired qualifications:
Experience building applications using social graphs as well as social analytics
Proficiency with data stores such as CouchDB or Solr ; or experience with NoSQL Architecture
Experience working with high-traffic portals , and developing applications for optimal scalability
