Overview
kgb web is looking for a team of web-crazy summers interns to join us for the summer and potentially beyond. There is more than one position available.
This is a remarkable opportunity to play an active role at a major technology start-up that is solving big problems and transforming the way information is delivered and consumed on the internet. This is not your typical summer internship and a very rare opportunity.
The Company
The best of both worlds. We are an internet start-up incubated within a leading global information services company, kgb (formerly InfoNXX). We enjoy the strength and resources of an established organization coupled with the dynamic of a start-up. It's been working well for us.
Our mission is simple: completely redefine the way users get their content on the web. Our office is extremely open and collegiate. It is filled with smiles, ping pong, video games, ideas, movies, pizza, and laughter. We make sure that coming to work is a good time.
We’re a very eclectic bunch of intelligent, energetic, and fun entrepreneurs. We all share a common respect and a commitment to taking whatever we do, fun or work, to the max. Good ideas thrive above all else.

The Job
At kgb web our interns are actively involved from Day 1. You will be looked upon as any other member of the team and will be exposed to major initiatives. This is not a fluff job and you will get to work on serious projects that have an actual and major impact. We will also have various fun events throughout the summer for the intern team. At the end of the internship, you will be able to point to a major consumer web site and say that you were a key part of making it happen.
We only hire the best and therefore have a rigorous resume screening and interview process. But once you become part of the team, we are confident it will be one of the most exciting, enjoyable, and rewarding jobs you can have.

Responsibilities
Major research and strategy projects to help formulate content for the site
Supporting the current team on key projects
Doing research and presenting reports about various internet companies and trends
Creating content and managing our various social media presences
Running beta-testing of our product all over NYC
Being in charge of creating a fun office atmosphere. This is really an area that you can just take charge and run with
Experience
You are a top performer at a prestigious 4 year college, and are about to start your junior or senior year
Great analytical or writing skills
Have some previous work experience that demonstrates the ability to take on responsibility and execute
You are an internet addict, and are dying to work in the field
Social networker and blog user
Familiar with the major web properties and trends
You are a fast learner, self-starter, and are comfortable with a quick paced and fun environment
You are an interesting person, team-player, and are willing to do what’s needed
You are an advanced computer user
Education
*Are majoring in Computer Science or related field
*Are majoring in Business/Marketing or related field
*Have previous entrepreneurial experience
*Are very knowledgeable about the internet industry
