Overview
Digg is looking for people with plenty of PHP, MySQL and large scale website development experience. You'll be working on a variety of projects - adding new cool functionality to digg.com and scaling the site to meet our ever increasing traffic.
Responsibilities
Learn from some of the brightest minds in the PHP, design and operations communities
Play with Memcache, Gearman, Mogile, PEAR, etc. in a high volume environment
Create and contribute to open source projects while you work on high traffic and scalability problems at Digg
Experience
3+ years experience with PHP/MySQL/Apache
Experience with Subversion, JavaScript, CSS and OO programming are a plus
Knowledge of Memcache, SOA, PEAR, JSON are a plus
Knowledge of microformats and open standards are nice to have
Education
Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science or similar/relevant field preferred
