Overview
We are looking for a skilled and highly motivated developer to join our team. We are a (startup) boutique e-commerce development firm based in Long Island, NY providing e-commerce solutions to enterprises and are trusted development partners of Znode.com, a leader in the e-commerce industry. We are also involved in the extreme sports industry and plan to move into mobile gaming in the future.
The position will involve learning the Znode platform (C#, ASP.NET), developing new features, fixing bugs for existing implementations, and implementing solutions to challenging programming problems that have a direct effect on users or developer productivity. As a developer, you will solve real-world business problems and play a key role in the success of the company.
A successful candidate will be: highly motivated and have a hard-work ethic, resilient in their pursuit of a working solution, have a mind towards writing scalable/extendable code, can code using multiple languages as needed (or pick up new languages quickly), work well together with teammates of varied skill levels, sharing personality, FAST coder.

Responsibilities
Understand requirements and execute, provide feedback and follow-up
Update time estimates and expected completion times for project tasks
Provide high-low estimates on requirements, keep track of time actuals
Learn from existing team members to get up to speed and adapt to conventions
Commit regularly to source control (SVN, GIT, Mercurial)
Take complete ownership over live deployments
Join the team in the obsession of the week – helping solve difficult problems
Work in a startup environment with good down-to-earth people
Experience
At least 3 years of experience coding in C#, PHP, Python, Ruby, or other object oriented language.
Has experience working with ASP.NET
Experience in designing or building e-commerce or other web applications is a PLUS.
Ability to demonstrate working projects and provide references
Very strong analytical and critical thinking abilities, and able to solve a variety of programming problems
Good written and verbal communication skills and works well in teams
Must be willing to telecommute and work late shifts on occasion when there is a project emergency or if project requires it from time to time. Most of work is during business hours.
Able to perform under pressure and under tight deadlines
Fluency in Russian or second language is a PLUS, experience in

Clear communication skills and professionalism
At least 2 years of programming experience
Can be highly productive with ASP.NET and C#, and can work in other languages if needed
Database admin, system admin, or securities experience is a PLUS
Willing to relocate or live in the NY Metro area for at least 6 months for training/integration
Enjoys working in a startup environment and with entrepreneurially minded people
Education
4-year degree preferred (Engineering, MIS, IT-related, Technical Sciences preferred)
Compensation
Bi-weekly performance based bonuses and incentives., Commensurate with experience
