TeachBoost is looking for a full-time web developer who can handle all aspects of web application development. We're a small team and growing, and we need someone who can develop new features and small projects, handle bug fixes, and work with and learn from our lead programmer. Right now we need help with front end development, mysql/database tuning, and back end/application development--if you can handle any two we'd love to meet you.
Importantly, we're a small education startup and we love working with schools, teachers, and principals. You should be willing to work in our industry and handle the unique set of problems that come up with education and institutional clients (as well as going up against large institutional competitors). You should have experience working on a small team with tight deadlines, and you should be familiar with OO concepts as well design patterns. You should learn new languages and technologies quickly, be innovative, enjoy challenges, and have a great work ethic.

Knowledge of any of our application stack technologies (or the ability to learn them quickly)
Great communication skills and a willingness to work with our virtual team members
Experience with Mecurial and version control
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field preferred; otherwise the equivalent self-learning and real-world application
