SpareHire (www.sparehire.com) is an online marketplace that connects a vetted pool of finance and consulting professionals with a variety of organizations for project-based work. We founded the business in April 2013 and recently closed our first investment round. On the heels of our fundraise, we’ve just re-launched our web platform and are kicking off an aggressive marketing effort.
Our team consists of two co-founders with private equity backgrounds and a CTO with experience building financial technology platforms. Apart from work, we are a pretty low-key bunch that loves to eat, drink, and discuss just about anything. Lastly, our very first intern joined us during the spring of 2014, and he swears it’s been a great experience!
We’re looking for a web development intern to work with us full-time this summer. Our team is small and we work in a relatively unstructured environment, so we are looking for a self-starter who can independently handle larger projects.
The intern would work directly with the CTO and be involved in the entire web application development process, from our hosting platform and databases to front-end user interface design. We’re looking for a creative, motivated person interested in solving technology challenges in a fast-paced, unstructured environment, and in delivering a great, intuitive product to users.
This position has the potential to extend into part-time work during Fall ’14 and Spring ’15, and a full-time position afterward (though this is not guaranteed).
