Overview
We at FoodtoEat are a fun and ambitious online food ordering startup - featuring menus from food trucks, restaurants, and caterers. We're changing the face of online food ordering with our sustainable business model, cool new features, and did we mention we're the first to include food trucks?!
Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
We are looking for a self-starter who is excited to learn and improve his or her skill set in the ever-evolving medium of the web. The ideal candidate is a creative thinker with experience in user experience definition and user interface design.
HTML/CSS/jQuery coding across multiple browsers, platforms, and devices; including smart phones and tablets
Adhere to and extrapolate complex design systems and apply to coded pages, screens, and states.
Developing standards-compliant code and search engine optimized code
Integrating with backend (including but not limited to) PHP, MongoDB, Node.js, Django
Understand Agile methodology and instill best practices into the process.
Skills
Qualifications:
BS in computer science or a related field, or significant equivalent experience
Experience with Javascript, jQuery, AJAX, HTML5, CSS3, HAML, SASS, Twitter Bootstrap
Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign
Ability to prioritize and manage a multitude of projects and complete them in a short time frame
Self motivated, passionate about design, able to follow direction and works great in a team.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
