At New Relic, we build software tools that developers and IT ops professionals use to improve the performance and reliability of their apps. We're solving hard problems that most people never think about, whilst waking up the sleepy world of performance monitoring. We have a cool brand and voice that doesn’t exist elsewhere in this industry.
We’re pretty good at driving hundreds of thousands of monthly visitors to our site. But then what?
That’s where you come in. We want someone to create, execute and own the web strategy at New Relic. You’ll be responsible for our website and increasing conversions of our site traffic by identifying, planning, executing, and analyzing enhancements in the presentation, merchandising and usability of our online products.
Reporting to the Director of Marketing Operations, you will be focused primarily on increasing conversion rates from website visitors to sign-ups, and from those who sign-up and have not yet deployed our products. Secondary emphasis will be on driving demand for our products through Search Engine Optimization, testing and optimizing nurturing flows, and content creation/development.
You’ve got the performance-marketing gene. Direct performance marketing is in your blood. You like the challenge of using a combination of words, design and clever ideas to persuade people to try a new way of doing something. You see a website and see opportunities to improve the experience and performance.
You have two pets and they’re called A and B. You’ve built and executed testing strategies to learn, iterate and improve web experiences. Additionally, you are always reading up on the latest technologies and tricks of the trade to develop persona-based experiences.
Mentally ambidextrous. You look at everything through a strategic lens with first-rate marketing acumen. Prone to awesome ideas, your energy, organization and ability to influence those around you ensures amazing outcomes.
You seek challenges and take action. A leader, a motivator and a “do-er”. You come to the conversation with solutions and you’re good at overcoming challenges because you love to figure out new ways to do things.
Happy wearing multiple hats. Colored ones, funny-shaped ones. It doesn’t matter to you. You’re in your element with strategy, project management, design and most importantly performance marketing.
Working fast, lean and agile don’t scare you. We’re building processes but they aren’t perfect. You’ll need to be nimble, flexible and willing to iterate to improve the way we do things. You also need to be a good person to work with and willing to have fun at work!
