Responsibilities
Build our exciting new highly dynamic website from the ground up.
Work closely with professional web design firm, and innovate with them
Site will be heavy on video, photos and social media features
Streamline the structure, code, maintainability and deployment of the site
Optimize for smooth user interaction, performance and browser compatibility
Enable mobile web experience
Experience
Prior development experience building large-scale high-traffic and secure consumer websites, in the social media / social networking / Web 2.0 space, preferably in a fast-paced startup environment
Extensive experience programming in Javascript frameworks such as JQuery, AJAX, YUI, Dojo
Extremely fluent with high-end CSS3 andDHTML
Familiarity with HTML5
Experience integrating and working with Amazon Web Servicesand other cloud service providers
Optimizing for the Mobile web (Android, iPhone, iPad etc) is a plus
Experience with Agile development and source control systems such as SVN or GIT
Comfortable working in a team environment, including with outside design firms and offshore team members
Working knowledge of Java and/or Ruby a HUGE plus
