Overview
Spindle is seeking a passionate and versatile UX designer to create elegant web interfaces that are responsive and easy to use on any device. You'll work closely with our product and engineering teams to rapidly design, prototype, and contribute to the development of our customer-facing web experience and our suite of internal tools. You have designed for desktop and mobile web form factors, and you have expertise writing HTML/CSS and working with Javascript presentation frameworks. As an early member of our design team you'll have the opportunity to define and evolve our web presence from the ground up, and will have a meaningful and immediate impact on the direction and growth of the company.
Responsibilities
Analyze customer needs and define usage scenarios
Create diagrams required to clearly communicate design concepts, including sketches, task flows, site maps, wireframes, and detailed interaction storyboards
Deliver pixel-perfect visual designs based on an evolving brand identity
Create prototypes as needed to communicate complex interactions
Partner with engineers to implement designs using modern HTML/CSS and Javascript presentation frameworks
Experience
3+ years experience designing and building consumer or enterprise products for the web
Deep awareness of mobile and social computing design patterns and constraints
Demonstrable expertise designing social media experiences
Passion for and engagement with social media space
Experience designing pages or applications for the Facebook platform a plus
Skills
Expertise with Adobe Creative Suite and other industry-standard design tools
Strong command of web standards, CSS-based design, and cross-browser, cross-device compatibility
Comfortable working with a cross-functional team in a fast-paced work environment
Strong verbal and written communication
Detail-oriented and focused on shipping
