AviantLogic, a startup SaaS application provider, is building the next generation news distribution service with it’s proprietary RST(Relevance Search Technology).
We are taking our business model and applying it to an industry starving for innovation. Looking for someone who can get into the weeds, build a killer beta product with our current junior programmer and assume the responsibilities of a CTO over time. Must be skilled in multiple languages & technologies or able to quickly learn new ones. Individual must be ready for a start-up environment with a substantial equity share and generous salary. You must have experience in the search space (seo) and have built out search technologies along with web scraping. If you do not have this experience, then you’ll need to convince us that you can do the work. We are not looking for learning on the job, we need someone who can jump in, understand the need, and begin developing immediately and recommending. Our primary language is php/mysql, however, the search technology that we are building might not be suitable for php, we belive that “C” or something close might be more suitable, but we want you to run it. The CEO is a former CTO and developer, but is too busy building and funding the company so he needs someone to handle the engineering. You’ll be designing and implementing our proprietary RST(relevance search technology) within our news distribution application, NewsLogic©. Our application is in the beginning stages of development, so you’ll be holding the key.
Please only apply if you are the real deal - we are looking for a rockstar, a real engineer. As you will have equity, you will be able to work remotely as you wish, but face to face is very important when necessary, at least in the beginning. We have a deadline and we must meet it for the beta product.
Determine technical architecture - although most of this is already determined.
CTO of the company
help drive technology decisions
work directly with partners on determining scale/scope and growth.
At least 5-10 years of PHP/MYSQL, C
Have the ability to build a "C/C++/C#" program to execute and save the results to the database (mysql is written in c and has a c api for queries and other things)
Can you do the job? good, then I don't care about formal education.
You will get 20% Equity once you become the CTO and salary once we're funded. We are within weeks of funding and have term sheets out to investors already so we are very close.
