Overview
UxStation is recruiting a Back-End Software Engineer for a company which includes founders comprised of Stanford grads, former Googlers and a VC who also teaches Entrepreneurship at Stanford, as well as an all-star cast of funders.

This company is revolutionizing the investment business through an open source financial trading platform that anyone can join (currently 370,000+ unique users) - instead of hoarding data like traditional investment sites, they make their data work for you and your portfolio. Responsibilities
As a backend engineer, you will be responsible for developing and architecting data analysis systems, third party APIs, integration with brokerage sites, search algorithms and much more.
Experience
Our ideal candidate will have:
Knowledge of distributed programming and service oriented architectures.
Knowledge of data analysis, data warehousing or Map/Reduce systems
Excellent knowledge of Java, including generics and annotations
Excellent knowledge of MySQL
Familiarity with object relational tools such as Hibernate
Background in programming language theory and compiler construction greatly appreciated
Interest in finance and a willingness to push the frontier of data analysis in that field
Familiarity with agile methodologies
Familiarity with front-end technologies is a plus
Education
A BS or MS in computer science, possibly specializing in systems or theory
