eCommerce Marketing Director

The role directly manages Arvixe's North American Direct-to-Consumer marketing team. You will need to have broad and deep experience in both online and print marketing and be able to develop and implement plans for marketing programs which contribute to the growth and profitability of the direct-to-consumer group's software business. Emphasis will be placed on online marketing activities to effectively reach consumer markets and drive traffic to our respective web sites. A creative and dynamic marketing thinker, the eCommerce Marketing Director may be deeply involved in some or all of the following: website development, online banner advertising, co-marketing opportunities, and campaign analytics. Working knowledge of the following is also desirable: pay per click advertising, affiliate marketing, search engine marketing programs, product promotions.
Creating and managing marketing plans and budgets in order to maximize revenue and profitability.
Developing marketing activities to drive the qualified traffic to Avanquest and affiliate sites.
Manage the production of all site content (homepages, banners, landing pages).
Overseeing the merchandising and on-site promotions of Avanquest stores and to increase sales, conversion rates, and average order values, and improve online shopping experience.
Manage Email marketing channel and be accountable for growth.
Develop and manage the development of creative content, working closely with product managers, designers and copy writer.
Managing our outside creative agency; constantly working to improve processes and communication to improve efficiencies with creative development.
Create reports and analyze trend information to identify issues and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
Use breadth of Internet marketing to grow web businesses.
Be point person for special projects.
Prioritizing online initiatives to achieve the maximum impact.
Manage key vendor relationships at online management level and prioritize vendor requirements for content and development.
Devise Internet development plans and priorities.
Add relevant content to enhance effectiveness of website – eg screenshots, awards, reviews, keywords, images, product comparison charts.
New product launches: Liaise with product managers to get relevant info (pricing, launch date, product info etc), work with customer database in order to identify opportunities, devise a testing strategy and propose plans for improvement.
At least 3 years of employee management experience;
5-7 years of experience in a similar online marketing role, preferably in B2C space;
Analytical, ability to make decisions based off managing the P&L and optimize marketing activities based on KPIs;
Expertise in multiple channels including: display, email, affiliate, lead generation, SEM and SEO; print a plus;
Ability to focus on the details while keeping track of the big picture;
Track record of successfully managing multiple marketing projects of varying scale and meeting deadlines and budget parameters;
Ability to remove road blocks and get things done, both on own and through others; ability to build team cohesive to achieve results.
College degree; BS in Business Marketing or related field; MBA a plus
