Overview
Client’s company includes founders from more than a half-dozen successful startups, four AI Ph.D.s, and engineers from Silicon Valley’s major technology companies. They build products that enable users to tap into the wisdom of their real-world social network. Their first offering takes on the problem of “subjective search” — finding information that is customized and relevant to your personal tastes, needs, and context. They are located in downtown San Francisco, close to public transportation.
Responsibilities
QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduate degree in CS or Computer engineering from a leading institution
10+ years direct technical experience in one or more of the following fields:
Web Development: fluent in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, scripting languages, server technologies, and modern levers (rails, etc.)
Systems Engineering: degree in CS (graduate preferred) with experience in distributed systems, network programming, or storage systems in Java, C++, or a similar language
Artificial Intelligence: experience with natural language processing, information retrieval, or machine learning
Experience
Proven technical project management experience and/or willingess to mentor more junior engineering staff
Proven track record of developing and launching products end-to-end under tight deadlines
Affinity for rapid prototyping
Flexibility when faced with complex challenges
