SetSee is a 2-person start-up in the business of helping solve the widespread problem of information overload by providing a super-charged ability to find what users really need within any display of information shown on a screen, with 2 products that are simple, powerful and consistent across many types of information, no matter the platform, software, or type of display.
We need a skilled Web developer to work either full-time or part-time over the next 2-3 months to finish the Beta version of our products (they share common code). It requires working with our current developer's pre-Alpha work to complete the initial UI features of our browser-based tool, some back end processing, and a simple web site, including customer sign-up and Beta login pages. This Beta is aiming for basic functionality; we plan for more significant development after getting some feedback and to then build an initial customer base (to attract seed or angel funding). There is both a consumer and a commercial product for the Beta.
For the longer term, we are also looking for a Lead Developer/Architect/Technical Co-founder (►CTO). The person chosen for the short-term project could potentially evolve to fill the longer-term position, should the candidate turn out to fit in well, share our vision, and be motivated to guide, architect & build that vision for further releases and other platforms.

Demonstrated success with projects involving the skills described below.
Successful completion of a web site, front and back-end, with database use.
significant DOM traversal & manipulation, CSS manipulation
Firefox & Chrome extensions, bookmarklets, etc
database schema design & setup, and server-side processing
basic web site design and setup
comfort with GitHub
ability & inclination to communicate clearly verbally and in writing with smart non-developers
Education is less important than experience and skill—we are open-minded—but a BS or MS in Computer Science is certainly fine.
We can contract with you for a small percentage of company ownership for completing the project and/or offer deferred payment (deferred until we generate revenue or obtain sufficient seed/or angel funding). There is NO cash salary payable up front for this work.
