VP of Engineering (Ruby) in New York

We are an online media startup trying to do for the paid web what Yahoo and Google did for the public web. (The good news is we can follow their lead, and the better news is we don't have to be yet another ad support web company--people are already paying money!) We're small, we're nimble, and we're looking for you. If you like having a big impact in a green field space at a small, casual funded startup this is the job for you.

We have a basic platform right now and are looking for you to take the vision and make it your own. It is built in ruby and running on the amazon cloud, as for the specific gems and other technologies choices, you are free to make your own calls on that.

We are willing to consider a teach lead/architect for this role, even without significant management/leadership experience if we see the potential in you.

This role has multiple responsibilities. Front end CSS/ HTML / JavaScript developer (P/T contract) in New York

ZepInvest is a new media startup with a launched product and paying customers. Our SaaS product is written in Ruby. We need a P/T contract developer to work on CSS / HTML and JavaScript using JQuery for the front end. Knowledge of Ruby is a plus as well as familiarity with other JavaScript frameworks.

Some work can be done remotely but we want someone who can be in the office at least part of the time. (No completely remote developers.)
