The role: Software Engineer HTML/CSS/Javascript User Interface Engineer

Engineers work on many projects that carry varying responsibilities.

Our clients are predominantly Fortune 500 companies. We provide integrated digital marketing, digital advertising, analytics for Fortune 500 clients.

Responsibilities:
•Write client-code and server-side code for web-based applications, create robust high-volume production applications, and develop prototypes quickly.
•Specialist domains: UI development with AJAX and similar technologies, client application development for Windows/Mac (Chrome, Toolbar, etc.), embedded systems and mobile apps (iPhone, Android), developer tools (IDEs, large-scale build systems, compilers), internationalization.
Requirements:
•BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or related technical discipline (or equivalent).
•Programming experience in C# .NET 3.5/4.0, and Java (strong OO skills preferred).
•A solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design.
•Coding skills in Javascript/AJAX, database design and SQL, and/or knowledge of TCP/IP and network programming are a MUST.

Fashion & Merchandising Student Internship + Summer Job in Irvine

You must be enrolled in a Fashion * Merchandising Degree Program such as FIDM to receive credit for the internship.
You must be local to Newport Beach, CA this summer. Summer Internships begin on June 15 2009.

Every great boutique or department store needs a Wizard of Oz—someone behind the curtain making everything appear as impressive as possible—someone deciding to stock ruby slippers because they're the next big thing. Fashion merchandising experts accomplish tasks like these on a regular basis.
At Modello, we are looking for Fashion merchandising students who wish to intern this summer in Newport Beach, CA.

Fashion merchandising requires a blend of fashion sense and business expertise. Style alone won't yield a successful career in this field. Staying ahead of the fashion curve is a feat involving both art and science. Strategy and marketing know-how are an integral part of fashion merchandising.
Responsibilities (One responsibility per line. Responsibilities will be made into a list automatically.)
Fashion Merchandising Tasks
As a fashion merchandiser, your job is to connect fashion with consumers. To reach that goal, you may do a variety of tasks, including the following:
Attending fashion shows
Buying fashions
Negotiating with suppliers and manufacturers
Managing retail outlets
Setting up store displays
Advertising and marketing
Experience (One experience per line. Experience will be made into a list automatically.)
Student in Fashion Merchandising
Skills (One skill per line. Skills will be made into a list automatically.)
Forecasting Ability - While more methodical than fortune telling, fashion merchandising does require forecasting ability. A thorough knowledge of past fashion trends and an awareness of current industry developments will serve you well in a fashion merchandising career.
Analytical Ability - Problem solving and analytical ability also come in handy in this field. A good sense of style obviously helps you; however, you must also determine how things fit into a budget and whether they meet the functional needs of consumers. Other criteria may also influence your fashion merchandising decisions, so you will need to be able to analyze a complex set of issues and stand behind your choices.
Communication Skills - Fashion merchandising also requires good communication skills. From negotiating with manufacturers to getting your marketing message out to customers, there is ample opportunity to exercise your powers of communication in the fashion merchandising field.

This is an internship position to assist in daily activities. In addition to the internship roles of fashion merchandising, you will be working on promotions on a 100% commission-only (paid) basis this summer.
