Since integration with offline POS systems is among our greatest technical challenges, we are looking for someone with this kind of ETL-process experience. Successful candidates will have the ability to design and code from scratch, using mostly open-source tools, a highly scalable, secure database network that is simultaneously accessible by many web users. Previous start-up experience is helpful, but the following are crucial: <br /> <br /> - a high degree of motivation <br /> - exceptional coding skills (breadth and depth) <br /> - the ability to attract other talent <br /> - long-term leadership potential <br /> - the business acumen to weigh in on all important strategic decisions <br /> - excellent personal references <br /> - the capability and maturity necessary to manage a team of programmers in the future <br /> <br />This is a great opportunity to build something meaningful from the ground up. Please note that since we are a small organization, we are looking for a coder who can do some heavy-duty implementation, not a manager. It will be an enormously fun experience, but this is a big job, and we need someone with ambition. Equity, salary, and benefits are negotiable, but candidates that are hungry for equity and have a bootstrapping mentality will be a better fit in the initial stage. <br /> <br />The original founder is a former U.S. Olympian with previous start-up and finance experience, and he has spent 18 months revising the concept and roll-out strategy.
