LongTail Video has an immediate opening for a highly skilled and versatile Senior Web Application Developer in our New York City headquarters. In this role, you will help to re-architect our AdSolution and have the opportunity to work with cutting edge technologies such as ASP.NET MVC and IronPython.

Technologies We Use:
* C#, Python, IronPython
* .NET Framework 3.5
* Windows Server 2008, IIS 7
* SQL Server 2008, MySQL
* ASP.NET MVC, Pylons
* Spring.NET
* NHibernate, SQL Alchemy
* Subversion
* CruiseControl .NET

Responsibilities
* Ownership and development of end-to-end projects using both .Net Framework and web technologies
* Work on a cross-functional team to agree on business requirements and product direction
* Contribute to the architecture of our video ad-serving platform
* Develop a robust API for third-party system integration
* Integrate our C#-based ad-serving platform into our Python-based video content management system.

Requirements:
* B.S. or higher in Computer Science or related field (i.e., Engineering, Information Technology)
*Graduated from a top tier university or computer science / technology program a plus
* 5 years server side web application development
* 2 years experience with ASP.NET
* Proficiency with the .NET Framework, C# preferred
* Knowledge of common design patterns (GoF, PoEAA, etc.)
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Motivated self-starter who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment

Nice to Have Experience:
* Python
* Pylons or TurboGears
* Solid client-side web skills (JavaScript, CSS, HTML, AJAX, jQuery)

Responsibilities

* Own and manage the technical aspects of our customer website
* Lead development projects such as building a new order system, implementing a new information architecture for the site, and migrating to new technologies.
* Manage releases and support our production environment
* Work on a cross-functional team to agree business requirements and site direction
* Interface with our support team and rapidly respond to issues / requests
* Evaluate new technologies for introduction into our platform
Requirements:

* B.S. or higher in Computer Science or related field
* Graduated from a top-tier university or computer science / technology program a plus
* At least 4 years front-end web application development
* Knowledgeable in core computer science disciplines (data structures, algorithms, etc.)
* Proficiency with Python / Django a plus

* Build player components, skins, plugins, and integrations to third-party systems
* Interface with our support team and rapidly respond to issues / requests
Requirements:

* B.S. or higher in Computer Science or related field
* Graduated from a top-tier university or computer science / technology program a plus
* At least 2-3 years of professional programming experience
* Knowledgeable in core computer science disciplines (data structures, algorithms, etc.)
* Proficiency with ActionScript 3 / Flash / Flex a plus
