CommuniTeach is looking for a motivated, passionate intern to help transform peer-to-peer learning with us.

CommuniTeach is a social enterprise that connects real people like you with others in your area so you can meet in person and learn anything (e.g. improv, photography, web design) for free from each other - like an eharmony for learning. We currently have 2500 members in Pittsburgh, Chicago, and Boston and are excited to find an intern that can help us further grow our company and transform the world through learning.

Back-end web developer for social enterprise in Chicago

Our website, http://communiteach.com, makes it easy to teach and learn from your neighbors in person, for free. We're like a match.com for learning. We're looking for a back-end PHP freelance developer who has 10-20 hours available per week to help.

The developer must have the ability to spot problems and design new features without complete up-front specifications, and s/he must also be passionate about the mission of CommuniTeach.

Our website runs on PHP/MySQL/AJAX on a shared-hosting Linux server. It is already up and running with over 1000 users. The website is custom-coded and has social networking capabilities such as log-ins, profiles, messaging, and event RSVPs.
