Lead Flex Developer in New York

Pixable is a recently funded MIT startup that just relocated to NYC (Manhattan). Pixable offers a collaborative photobook creation platform that allows you to create photobooks with all the photos and content you can see on Facebook (your photos, your friend's photos, photo comments, status updates, etc) and combine that with content on Picasa, Flickr or your hardrive. We later print it and send it to you. This is only the beginning. We have further products in the pipeline with proprietary technology.

We are currently looking for a lead developer with experience in at least Flex and LAMP to add to the Pixable Team.

The ideal developer will have experience with Flex, Linux, mySQL, PHP and Ajax. In addition, she/he may have notions of image handling, manipulation, and processing. We also use a web architecture on Amazon Web Services although its configuration is straight forward to learn if you understand and have notions of web architectures and linux.

We have built the foundation of our business and now we are trying to add new features and products, to create proprietary value around our platform technology.

We have received funding and after one year, we have a product already in the market (www.pixable.com). We actually make money.

We are looking for a Senior Software Developer who has experience in
startups. Our application relies on third party APIs, search, image
manipulation and LAMP.

We are building a world-class team that can solve the biggest problems
in creating the next-generation web experience to consume photos from
the cloud. These challenge include rich navigation across devices
(iPad, various browsers, ...), high performance backend service that
allow users search and discover relevant photos from all over the web,
and create photo products (photobooks, posters, mosaics) with those
photos.

You will play a lead role in developing Pixable's mobile applications. You should be comfortable in a fluid start-up environment and bring an energetic, fun and creative approach to your work. Familiarity with development of native applications on iOS is a must. This job will be based in our headquarters in SoHo, New York City. Director Software Development at Pixable.com in New York

We are looking for a Director of SW development who has experience in startups (our application relies on third parties APIs, image manipulation, Flex and LAMP). At the moment we have a technical co-founder who is leading the full time SW development team we have in India (he has spent the last months in Delhi) but we want to add an additional technical leader in NYC.

About us: At Pixable we print your Facebook content (photos, comments, photo titles, tagging information, status updates, etc.) into photobooks, calendars, posters, etc, which are home delivered at an affordable price. We have three digital (not printed) products related to photos in the pipeline too. We are an MIT startup, we have a product in the market, and we raised funding from key people in the industry.
