C++/Linux High Frequency Trading in New York

Hedge Fund with startup culture is looking for top C++/Linux trading strategists to work hand in hand with Portfolio Managers to develop High Frequency Trading Strategies in multiple asset classes (primarily Equities and FX currently).

As one of our developers you will design and develop new trading strategies from scratch while learning from well known Quants and Traders in the industry. You will design cutting edge trading algorithms and be asked to solve complex technology problems with a real “software” focus as the firm leverages technology to drive the trading strategies. You will work all aspects of the system from front end, middle-tier, and back-end database in designing solutions, testing their functions, production, implementation and support. We want you to be creative yet able to handle details efficiently.

This is not a heads down spot where you ignore everything but the code position. You will be expected to participate in the entire development process: requirements gathering, coding, production support, interfacing with operations and other staff in a fast pace environment with focus towards memory management, reliability, speed and performance sustainability.

To move further in the application process for this position you must have the ability to clearly demonstrate during the interview the complexity of the systems you are working on in great detail, any performance issues you faced in development and your knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
