Web Designer / Graphic Artist in New York

Venture-backed NYC consumer internet startup based on a revolutionary search technology that organizes and customizes event information (e.g., concerts, classes, and exhibitions) seeks exceptional web and graphic designer.

You:
If you can cook a six-minute egg in three minutes, if Bigfoot reports sightings of you, if you make apple cider when life gives you lemons, you may be what we need. Additional qualities for which we are looking include: (i) a keen understanding of presentation and usability and a borderline criminal obsession over design elements such as color, typography, gradient, shadowing, kerning, positioning, sizing, layering, and outlining; (ii) an ability to apply sophisticated graphic design theory to create something that is simple, clean, and elegant; (iii) a desire to wrestle with and perfect our UI, logo, branding, and production design; and (iv) extensive experience building web applications with HTML and CSS, and a mastery of Photoshop and Illustrator.
