This is a brand new position due to expansion, during what is an exciting and successful time for this company. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The following experience and attributes are essential for this role: &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent &lt;br /&gt;• An absolute minimum of 10 years software development experience for commercial or business-to-business software, including the full SDLC &lt;br /&gt;• A minimum of 5 years experience in managing software development teams. We specifically mean managing teams of software developers/programmers, not generic I.T. Project or Programme Management. &lt;br /&gt;• Experience managing the full SDLC from conception through construction to delivery, including software quality assurance &lt;br /&gt;• Experience in managing multiple locations and teams, including offshore teams &lt;br /&gt;• Experience in having delivered (not necessarily developed, but delivered) software products written in J2EE, .Net, Perl and other web-based technologies &lt;br /&gt;• A background that includes having worked for a software company delivering commercial software products to groups of customers, as opposed to bespoke-type work &lt;br /&gt;• Experience in implementing methodologies such as Agile, Lean or RAD &lt;br /&gt;• Passion for what you do! &lt;br /&gt;Please note the above experience is compulsory: You require all of the above to be eligible for this role. Essentially, we are seeking a former software developer who has moved up to manage a team of software developers. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Desirable, but not essential, are any of the following: &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;• A mix of big company/small company experience &lt;br /&gt;• Experience in managing multiple projects and product lines at once &lt;br /&gt;• Expert level understanding of test automation tools and methodologies &lt;br /&gt;• Previous experience in I.T.
