We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst for our mobile and Web social networking sites. You will provide business and financial analytical support to product management, finance and the executive management team. This support will drive effective decision making through the definition and tracking of internal business metrics as well as the competitive landscape. This full-time position is based in downtown Boston near south station.

The Business Analyst at Mocospace will take ownership identifying, tracking and reporting the key metrics of the business. The performance of these tasks will require the development and utilization of complex financial models. Significant collaboration with financial, product management and technical personnel will be necessary. You should have excellent analytical skills in dealing with details as well as the ability to address issues on the strategic level. This position will define and measure key internal metrics by analyzing user behavior, revenue drivers, product releases. You will be responsible for assessing and updating current metrics, elicit requirements for new reports through analysis of financial targets, product roadmap and community behavior and implement new reports using applicable tools (SQL, scripting language, Excel). This role reports to the VP of Products.
• Monitor user behavior and impact of product releases, pricing changes, advertising placements and community changes on that behavior
• Develop financial models and templates for evaluating projects
• Define and track key performance indicators for the business and report those KPIs to stakeholders regularly. Provide ad-hoc research and reports to stakeholders upon request.
• Accumulate information required to measure the lifetime value of users and average revenue per user, track changes and identify trends in those metrics
• Monitor the competitive landscape and assist in the preparation of presentations on Mocospace’s competitive position
