Seeking talented engineering cofounder for promising start-up in San Francisco

We are three high performers with the coveted backgrounds and networks (2 Rhodes Scholars with several years of McKinsey experience, and an ad guru and serial entrepreneur from Wieden+Kennedy). We have some great ideas and have quit well-paid, successful careers to build something valuable. We are looking for a technical co-founder who can join us from the start (that’s now).

Who are we?

The three of us literally just quit our jobs and moved to the Bay Area in the last couple of weeks. We have a big, sunny house and office in the Mission (in San Francisco) and we have incorporated our holding company as the Hampshire St. Experiment (http://hampshire.st).

We have real experience getting things done and deep business expertise. Brett led a project for the Mexican government to design and implement the offer of electronic payments and other financial services in rural Mexico; the project reaches 10 million people. Jonathan studied innovation theory and at McKinsey has worked for the world’s leading media, technology and telecommunications companies; he knows how they think and the opportunities that exist in the space. Rudy has led campaigns for top movie studios and consumer brands at Wieden+Kennedy, and he has started several successful businesses and projects; he knows how to make sure what you build becomes Facebook and not iConnect. We are also nice and personable (and more down-to-earth than this advertisement may suggest!).

Best of all, we are not just going to throw work at you. In fact, we plan to be useful. Jonathan and Brett were both math students in undergrad and know something about programming, and we are actively learning more. We want to bring on someone great as our technical cofounder so our team is truly top-notch on all fronts.

What are we doing?

We have several ideas that we have been working on, pulling together a detailed view of the opportunities and our competitors (we have even met co-founders from competitors to understand what they are up to).
