Young startup seeks awesome PHP software engineer in San Francisco

You:

- Smart engineer who gets things done and doesn't reinvent the wheel
- Experience using MVC frameworks
- Full stack developer (able to comfortably work in HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP, MySQL, Linux)
- Deep understanding of HTTP, AJAX, and friends
- Willing to wear many hats (developer, sysadmin, sales engineer, etc.)
- Willing to learn things on the fly

Bonus points if you know or have experience with:

- Kohana PHP Framework
- Version control systems (git, mercurial, subversion)
- Internationalization
- White-labeling via CNAME
- RESTful practices
- Agile software development
- Pivotal Tracker
- Unobtrusive Javascript

Web Design/Development Intern in San Francisco

Sponge Inc. is looking for an intern that can be a jack-of-all-trades web developer to work on our Q&A platform for enterprise companies. You don't have to necessarily be an expert, but have good enough experience with HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP, and MySQL to fix bugs, or code a quick function if need be. It also helps if you've got some projects of your own that you've worked on that you can show as examples, but not a requirement.

You are:

- Experienced in the technologies mentioned above
- Living in or around the San Francisco/Bay Area
- Preferably a Berkeley or Stanford student (though not a requirement)
- Thoroughly interested in startups and web development as a whole
- Don't need to be babysat, meaning you can be given a task and sent off to get it done on your own
- Not afraid to voice your opinion and bring new ideas to the table

We are offering school credit, as well as a small monthly stipend which depends on your experience and how quickly (and well) you can get things done.
