We are seeking a technology generalist to work with our VP of Technology in developing and maintaining the MyNines.com website and associated systems, and in managing co-located hosting of these applications. The candidate need not have expert-level skills in any single area. Rather, he or she must have solid expertise in the following three areas: 1) Java development; 2) UNIX/Linux server administration; and 3) MySQL database administration. Candidates without proven, solid expertise in all three of these areas will not be appropriate for this position. Candidates unable to discuss, in detail, concrete examples of their expertise in these three areas will likewise not be appropriate for this position. However, candidates with these qualifications and with a passion for technology; an affinity for the casual but extremely fast-paced, non-nine-to-five start-up environment; and a willingness to work hard and to see the results of their hard work every day are encouraged to apply.
