Senior Developer in Los Angeles

We are seeking a few developers who have a genuine interest in learning, implementing and pushing the boundaries of technology. If you started programming before college because you wanted to try out an idea, you are our ideal candidate. Not only are you an excellent programmer, you are also someone who sincerely enjoys the art of finding sophisticated and efficient ways of solving problems. You are someone who is constantly leveling-up your coding game by staying updated whether it is through blogs, side-projects, or participating in debates with your fellow geeky friends. If you take pride in your nerd cred, come join our team of talented techies.

Why it may be fun to work here:

* We take pride in what we do. We follow SCRUM (entirely, not just pick and choose what we like), we practice TDD, we hold code reviews, we teach during “Lunch n’ Learns” and we make you pay a dollar when you break the build and are late to daily stand-ups.

* We are both a .net shop and not a .net shop at the same time. We use C# along with ASP.NET MVC from the .net stack, but we also leverage AOP, DI and persistence framework like nHibernate. If you talk to our QA automation team, you might think we are a Ruby shop because we drive Watir tests using Cucumber.

* We score a 10 on the “The Joel Test.” Hallway usability testing and quiet working conditions are what’s holding us back. We’ve done occasional hallway usability testing but not consistent enough check “yes”. Although our cubical-less work areas can get noisy some times, we do offer a quiet room for those times you need to crank out that O(1) sorting algorithmm.
Oh yeah, we regularly have Foosball tournaments, game nights (massive XBOX LAN party with Wii stations and movies playing added as decoration).

View full job description | View company profile

We are seeking a Senior QA Engineer who isn’t afraid to showcase his/her nitpicky disposition. We are not looking for your average button-clicking black box testers. We welcome candidates who will do whatever it takes - all in the pursuit of high quality and also to ensure that every ScoreBig experience is a seamless production. If you have an innate quality of particularity and often find yourself trying to break things just to confirm that they cannot be broken, please send your spell-checked and grammatically correct resumes our way. (Bonus points if you can tell us which word we’ve mispelled in this paragraph!)

View full job description | View company profile
