Unitechange.org is a technology-focused non-profit seeking motivated, rails engineers for a small founding team that wants to change the world. This is a perfect opportunity to engineer a product from scratch (or use plugins) alongside an extremely hardworking team of four co-founders and other volunteers. The co-founders are operating this non-profit organization while working full-time (unpaid) as lawyers, management consultants, and product managers. We are dedicated to continue working this way and are looking for individuals who are passionate about doing the same. Please note that upon success (i.e., "seed donation"), we will give the founding team the opportunity to join as a paid, full-time employee.

Our ideal candidate has a strong engineering background who will enjoy building high quality products that will be used to change the world. You’ll be programming mostly in Ruby on Rails, so experience in that environment is ideal. A good product sense, an understanding of the web 2.0 ecosystem, and strong personal initiative are essential for this volunteer position. We understand that it is impossible to volunteer time on a regular basis, so volunteering on a semi-regular basis is expected.
