Eco Toy Company seeks cutting edge Marketing Director who can through social media and other avenues help promote, build and launch the world’s first Crowdsourced toy company.

We have an incredible team of extremely talented people who are in the process of building out a technology to enable crowdsourcing as our design, marketing and sales model. We are looking to become the Threadless of the toy industry, but in a much more content-driven, encompassing way.

ImagiPLAY is the pioneer of the Eco Toy category. We are the first toy company to include the safety of the earth and the well-being of the craftspeople making our toys into the design and manufacturing process of our toys.

Although we’ve been making Childsafe, Earth Friendly, Ethically-made toys for over 12 years, we are a startup. We are a company that is preparing for the next evolution in our business cycle.

Later this year we will launch another first for the for toy industry: we will introduce crowd-sourcing into our model. Crowd-sourcing is a powerful tool that will not only quickly build our brand, but will unite online communities of parents, environmentalists and design students to unleash the creativity of the adult community as well as the children for whom our toys are intended.

This is a unique and rare sweat equity arrangement with an aggressive timeline to launch in late summer 2010. To meet this target launch, we are seeking a candidate able to commit 10-12 hours per week (minimum) with a flexible schedule.
