Senior Ruby Developer in Brooklyn

Loosecubes, the world’s largest peer-to-peer workspace sharing community, is seeking a self-motivated Ruby developer to join our growing team. We are on a mission to improve the way the world works. We believe that where you work is as important as what you are working on. If you’ve ever worked in a coworking space, you know what we’re talking about. We are currently a team of four experienced, full stack developers and will be rationally growing through the year. Our application stack currently consists of Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis. We practice test driven development using Cucumber and RSpec. We work collaboratively and are always seeking the shortest distance between two points that does not compromise the user experience. We use Github for source control and Pivotal Tracker for project management. We’re fans of VIM and pair programming.

Commander Awesome is an entry level role, combining community building and customer service with a large focus on one-to-one interactions. You will work closely with Captain Awesome to provide our members with the best Loosecubes experience possible. You will be the primary point person for many of our hosts and members and act as one of the faces of the Loosecubes brand. You will be able to quantify your success by watching metrics you are responsible for grow. Your learnings on the community front will be translated into product improvements. You’ll be our eyes and ears on the ground and feet on the streets!
