Required Skills
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills; capable of writing proposals or papers, acting as a vendor liaison, making presentations to customers or client audiences or professional peers, and working closely with technical management.

• A solid understanding of an operating system; understands paging and swapping, inter-process communications, devices and what device drivers do, filesystem concepts (inode, clustering, logical partitions), can use performance analysis to tune systems.
• A solid understanding of networking/distributed computing environment concepts; understands principles of routing, client/server programming, the design of consistent network-wide filesystem layouts.
• Ability to program in an administrative language preferably Python.

• A strong understanding of Linux security, vulnerability assessments and system hardening
• Share 24/7 on call duties
• Strong understanding in and experience virtualization technologies (Vmware and Xen)
• Management of very large compute node farms to support one or more production applications with 99.95+ uptime SLA.
Required Background
• More than five years of previous system administration experience.
Desirable Background and Skills
• A degree in computer science or a related field.
• Extensive programming background in any applicable language.
• Publications within the field of system administration.
• Extensive experience in design, selection and administration of storage subsystems (SAN, NAS, server based storage)
• MySQL 5.x, Apache Tomcat 5.x
• VMware VCP4 or equivalent

- Support Sales, Finance and Legal throughout entire Quote to Cash process:
- Generate initial pricing proposal
- Oversee quoting and approval process through fully executed Order Form

- Work closely with the Sales, Finance, Customer Support and Professional Services groups to manage customer provisioning.
- Manage renewal process across relevant systems.
- Act as Project Manager/subject matter expert on internal application integration project.
- Assist in various follow up activities associated with Marketing initiatives
- Develop and deliver Field training for all Sales related applications.
- Work closely with Sales and Finance to maintain data integrity across various systems.
- Serve as central point of contact for general Sales support.

Required Skills and Experience:
- B.S./B.A. degree with excellent academic record. Graduate degree a plus, but Technical degree or knowledge of technology strongly preferred
- 3-5 years of Operations or System Administration experience within the Software, preferrably SaaS industry
- Extensive knowledge of Salesforce CRM required, Adminstration Certification preferred.
- Proven ability to design and optimize business processes and to integrate business processes across disparate systems.
- General knowledge of subsciption based revenue model and deal structure.
- Strong database, Access and Excel skill required.

Position: Site Reliability Engineer

Site Reliability Engineering team is responsible for ongoing management of Zuora’s elastic compute infrastructure in a highly secure environment. The team is responsible for maintaining service levels for uptime and response time as well as production escalation procedures. SRE team maintains capacity plans and triggers actions to meet anticipated and spontaneous compute demands. Successful candidate will have a strong background in at least 3 of the following: UNIX systems administration, network administration, storage systems and database administration.

Responsibilities
• Ultimately responsible for maintaining service level agreements on uptime and response time and mobilizing resources as needed.
• Proficient at understanding how each software component, system design, and configuration is linked together to form an end-to-end solution
• Serve as technical escalation point for all production issues, communicate in a timely manner to keep all stakeholders informed during and after escalation.
• Maintain capacity plans and trigger procedures to meet any anticipated or spontaneous processing demands to maintain service level agreements.
• Implementation of monitoring, alerts and escalation management.
• Ability to communicate directly with customer counterpart to resolve technical issues.
• Serve as liaison to other Operations teams and Engineering to resolve outstanding issues.
• Drive or participate in technical design reviews and operational acceptance exercises for new and existing services.
• Ensure operational readiness of all data centers including disaster recovery site.
Requirements
• BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline
• Minimum of 6 years experience administering Linux systems, storage systems, networks and databases in a large-scale production environment, especially in Software-as-a-Service environment.
• Advanced knowledge of Linux, TCP/IP, web services, high-availability configurations, load balancing.
• Must have a deep understanding of building and managing large-scale systems and application architectures
• Experience with Virtualization and Storage Systems such as SAN, NAS, distributed storage using commodity hardware.
• Experience coding in one of the following languages: Shell, Ruby, Python or Perl
