We are looking for a Senior Systems Administrator to join our growing, thriving business. This role would be part of the Core Operations team within the Technology Operations (TechOps) organization which supports and scales the Kabam family of infrastructure and services. TechOps provides 24x7x365 service support and is responsible for availability, security, and performance of all Kabam games and services. The Senior Operations Administrator will need to provide stellar system administration skills in Linux/Unix/open source (LAMP) environments with significant proficiency in how to design, monitor, manage, and scale large scale infrastructures for online service businesses.

The Senior Systems Administrator will engage with other TechOps personnel to collaborate on infrastructure design and be responsible for fault tolerance, high availability, and helping to maintain a high quality of service for game operations.

The Senior Systems Administrator will leverage industry best practices in design and systems architecture to help manage our growing network of servers and optimize performance of our games, while continuously contributing to monitoring and management.

* Participate in all aspects of a project life-cycle, from specifications through QA

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

The ideal candidate is a rock star engineer who will work closely with game designers to build out and improve the (PHP/MySQL) game engine of Kabam's next title. You lead by example and would be able to hit the ground running with a team of smart and capable back-end developers. Bonus points to those who are obsessed with developing clean, stable, well tested code, and continually look to improve the code quality of the entire team. We'd like to see:

* Strong programming skills (PHP knowledge is a must)

* Leverage data to develop new messaging strategies and provide business requirements to technical teams to construct more compelling dynamic email

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

* 4+ years of email marketing experience in an online consumer company with experience crafting strategy as well as tactical implementation

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

* B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent
* 3+ years of development experience
* Comfortable with Adobe products including Photoshop and Illustrator; able to turn a design (PSD) into an HTML layout
* Proficiency with JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and very strong in OOP
* Experience working with large web frameworks such as jQuery, Dojo and prototype.js

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

* Minimum 2 years of Game Production experience and at least 1 shipped title; social games experience a plus
* Possess a creative mindset, good logical and analytical capabilities. Strong attention to details.
* Solid understanding of art pipelines, process and tools.
* Experience working with external art sources.
* Facility at creating art and a good visual eye helpful but not absolutely essential
* Familiar with various 2D art tools, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and Flash
* Strong passion for gaming, especially in the social/casual sphere
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Ability to take direction well, when necessary, and to collaborate with a somewhat flat team: Must play well with others, and no prima donnas!
* A terrific sense of humor.
* Must be available to work on site at our offices in Redwood City, CA
