Lead Developer or CTO in Santa Monica

We're an early stage LA-based startup looking for a technical co-founder to come onboard immediately to help build out our product. Candidate MUST be local, possess a BA in Computer Science and have at least a passing interest in the online dating space. The product is to be built in Rails, PHP or Python - in that order of preference - so extensive experience in at least one of those languages is necessary, as is experience in deploying and scaling a web application from the ground up (sysadmin experience, payment processing, setting up a caching architecture etc.). Self-direction and a strong work ethic are musts, as well as a flexible attitude and an ability to work in a small team, which currently consists of three product, marketing and tech-savvy entrepreneurs (including a front-end developer). This is a full or part to full-time position for someone willing to commit at least 20 hours a week at this early but key stage in the project.

Though the majority of the initial product design is complete, we are open to new ideas. The concept originated with Southern California's most prolific angel investor, who has expressed strong interest in facilitating a seed round for the venture.
