Aptela’s VoIP &lt;br /&gt;technicians are responsible for identifying the root cause of problems with a customer’s VoIP phone &lt;br /&gt;service. The position requires extensive learning and training about Aptela’s platform, which must be &lt;br /&gt;combined with existing knowledge about TCP/IP, SIP, RTP, VoIP protocols and how routers and firewalls &lt;br /&gt;can impact the quality of VoIP service. Experience working with Tier 1 carriers is a plus. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The candidate should have experience working in a trouble ticket environment. They must be an excellent &lt;br /&gt;written communicator, with a keen ability to document proof of issue causes in a clear and concise &lt;br /&gt;manner. Solid oral communication skills are essential as well. The VoIP technician will be a liason to our &lt;br /&gt;carrier partners, as well as Aptela’s development and technical operations teams. They will be producing &lt;br /&gt;and consuming large amounts of documentation, and must be highly adept at all modes of &lt;br /&gt;communications. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This role is technical in nature, and in addition to network troubleshooting, it involves configuring various &lt;br /&gt;elements of a software package - and associated hardware - that power Aptela’s telephone system.
