Betabrand is a small and growing online-only apparel company. We release a new product idea each and every week. Since launching in August, our fun inventions have been featured in everything from the New York Times, Wired, Gizmodo, Eater, and many more. We make our clothing in the SOMA district of San Francisco and our office is in the Mission.

Our website a model for social e-commerce, and we work hard to keep on the forefront.
We’re looking for a multi-talented Web Developer/Designer to expand our Engineering team. This is a full-time contract-to-hire position, and a good personality fit is as important to us as technical chops. Please include a brief explanation of why you think you would be a good fit for Betabrand specifically.

Here’s what we need to see:

PHP 5+/understanding of PHP frameworks (preferably Zend)
Javascript (preferably JQuery and/or Prototype experience)
HTML/CSS chops
At ease with common web technologies
Interest in Social Media/e-commerce
Attention to detail/clean coder/agile
Quick Learner
A self-starter who looks for places to contribute
A great sense of humor

Here’s what would impress us to see:

-E-commerce dev experience, specifically Magento
-Experience with LAMP stacks, Unix, shell scripting, site-operation/administration
-Some facility with graphic design

We’re a small company, so the ability to wear multiple hats is prized, including contributing to the conception and production of our fun site content. Your primary role however will be as a web developer. Must be eligible to work in the US.
