About Envoy
Our technology combines innovative genetic engineering with new molecular biology techniques for labeling and extracting the protein-making components of specific types of cells. This technology is enabling our scientists to make breakthrough discoveries by identifying and measuring proteins that are specifically produced by cells that are important to a particular disease without requiring the isolation of those cells. Capability like this has never before existed.

Key Responsibilities
Envoy Therapeutics is seeking an energetic MS/PhD research scientist to design and conduct gene expression studies in genetically engineered mice. The successful candidate will use Envoy Therapeutics’ proprietary bacTRAP technology to identify new therapeutic targets by collecting and analyzing RNA specifically expressed in clinically important neural cell populations as they respond to pathological stimuli.

Minimum Qualifications
The position requires extensive molecular biology experience, including at least 2 years specifically in RNA isolation, analysis, and processing. MS/PhD in biology or related field required. Experience working with transgenic mice, a background in brain anatomy and dissection, knowledge of bioinformatics, and familiarity with microarray and next generation sequencing will be extremely valuable. The successful applicant will be interested in developing new therapeutic approaches for CNS disorders in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and an excellent communicator and collaborator. Some travel will be required.

 Independent and innovative with strong scientific curiosity
 Hands-on approach, and the ability to work at the bench as part of a lean, flexible scientific team
 Detail-oriented and able to manage a great deal of complexity and multiple priorities at one time
 Ability to use sound judgment and troubleshoot technical issues when they arise
