Internship for Graphic/Web Design Ninja in New York

Thrive is a funded startup looking for a bright intern to work
directly with our UI Engineer to help with front-end web design. This
is a paid internship and will include at least fifteen hours of work
per week, most of which will be conducted at our offices on Lafayette
and Canal. The internship is available long-term, renewable each
academic semester, with the potential for full-time employment after
graduation.

You'll be treated as a member of the team and expected to contribute
accordingly. As a startup, everyone pitches in to do whatever needs to
be done to make sure we're successful.

This internship will be useful to someone who is thinking about a
career in Web Development and/or User Interface Design. Those who have
an interest in the design and interface discussions taking place at
the intersection of "stodgey" personal finance, the innovative forces
of the internet, and the emerging online behavior of young people will
find the experience particularly rewarding.

What The Internship Isn't:
You won't be asked to make anyone coffee (unless it's for yourself).
You won't go home every night with papercuts from hours of copying and
collating. This is NOT for someone who just wants to show up, surf the
web, and get an entry on a resume.

Who Should Apply:
Photoshop and HTML coding skills are a requirement: you need to be
competent to do the tasks you develop. Our ideal candidate will be
completing their undergraduate within the next couple years, as we
prefer to hire from within than without. Our team is made up of people
from diverse academic and professional backgrounds so we don't filter
our candidates by major, however a strong interest in web with a drive
to help people with their finances will pique our interest. Our
company is growing quickly and we need someone that can grow with us.
